Steel Central is the Australian distributor for the World Class German manufactured VAUTID-Cladplate.
VAUTID-Cladplate is manufactured by means of a unique hardfacing process, which has been developed by Vautid for this special application. The structure consists of primary chromium carbides in a eutectix matrix with eutectic chromium carbides. Due to low dilution with the base material, very low penetration of temperature and high alloyed powder, a unique structure is the result.
Compared to hardfacing layers welded with fluxcored wires the structure of the hardfacing section contains a high percentage of evenly distributed chromium carbides.
This, in fact, is the miracle of the longer lifetime of VAUTID-Cladplate in comparison to plates being hardfaced in a conventional manner.

Welding Consumables: Vautid produce a full range of Hardfacing Welding Consumables available in both Stick Electrodes and Tubular Wire. These products can be used in conjunction with VAUTID-Cladplate or independently for build-up and hardfacing of existing surfaces.
